Birthday Sock Monkey

As a mom, don't you just love it when your child asks, "mom will you make a monkey for my friends birthday?"  My reply should have been "when is her birthday?"  But no, I just said "sure" only to find out her birthday was the very next day!  UGH....when will I learn?  I stayed up late and worked on it, as soon as I got home from work the next day, I worked on it until it was done, thinking my son would take it to her house.  When I handed it to him, he said, "I think I'll wait and give it to her this weekend."  AAAAAHHHHHH.....no wonder some animals eat their young!
